Back to Work

Ellis will be 11 weeks old on Friday and on Tuesday, we head back to work. It has been so great to be able to stay home with her this long. She is such a sweet baby. I don't want to jinx myself, but she is sleeping so well and that will make it easier to go back to work. The best part is that she gets to come to work with me! One of the best things about my job is the fabulous on-site childcare! I can see her as much as I want and Finley is right next door so she can see her sister too! Wish me luck getting out the door with two little girls every morning...

First Haircut

We finally took Finley to get her hair cut, she did great! We didn't get too much cut off, just a little trim. She did such a good job she got some new make-up! Now if I could just find the time to get my hair cut and actually put on some make-up! :)

"New" Old Floors

We were finally able to refinish our hardwood floors after 3 years of living in this house. The floors were in pretty good shape, but really needed to be refinished! We had to move all of the furniture our of the downstairs, not fun, but totally worth it once we saw our shiny new floors!

What a difference a year makes...

Last year, Finley looked like a little toddler...

Now, she looks like a little girl who is growing up so fast!

What have we been doing?

The weeks just seem to be flying by. Baby Ellis is seven weeks old today and weighing in at 10 lbs, 11 oz. We are finally getting some sleep. After weeks of wanting to be held ALL the time, Ellis has finally found a little independence and I have a little freedom. She sleeps in her cradle at night now and she will take naps in her swing or her chair during the day! I finally feel like a normal person again, it's amazing what some good sleep will do! She has only been getting up once at night which is a huge step so let's hope she keeps that up, we really appreciate it. Finley is doing great. We have tried to not disrupt her routine as much as possible. She still goes to school every day and is thriving. We had a her parent teacher conference last week and were amazed by her progress.

Here are some random pics from the last few weeks.

Look how big I have gotten...
