No just kidding, Finley was just welcoming baby Austin, this was his first week at school!!

That Time of Year

Well, we made it through Finley's first cold. She started with a runny nose a couple of weeks ago, followed by a cough. Of course we rushed her to the doctor, but she was fine. We thought she was almost out of the woods, but then we had to come home last Thursday from school because Finley was running a fever. Of course, we rushed her to the doctor again. She was doing okay, we think it was a little tummy virus. It only lasted a day, and we found out that she really likes the apple flavored Pedialyte!! She is much better today and we are heading back to school tomorrow. It's just that time of year when everyone has a runny nose so I'm sure there will be many more to come. With her runny nose and conjestion, we had to pull out the blue bulb they gave us in the hospital when she was born. We used this along with saline drops to keep her nose clear and it quickly became her new favorite toy!!










PS - Did I mention she is getting her third tooth? We already have two on the bottom and one is coming in on the top now...ouch!! (May have been why she wasn't feel well last week)

Strolling to the Park

The weather has been so nice, we have really been enjoying our neighborhood park. I keep forgetting my camera, but here is a picture from Brandon's cell phone that he took last night while he and Finley were at the park. She loves watching the other kids play and tries to jump out of our arms because she thinks she should be able to play with them. Not quite there yet, but won't be too much longer...

Finley's First Week at School

Well, Finley started school last week and as hard as it was on me, she is doing just fine. She loves to play with the other kids and is having so much fun. She is right on campus in the building next door so I am able to run down and see her whenever I want. I usually go see her at least three times, sometimes four times during the day. Her teacher calls me when it's time for her to eat and I run down and feed her. She usually takes at least two good naps during the day, and they take her for stroller rides, sometimes even stopping by my office with her to say hello. Her teacher told me the other day that Finley loves to take socks off the other kids. They will be sitting on the mat playing, and she will look down and most of the kids will only have one sock on. Look like we have a little sock thief!!
